First Session:

Activities:7th Month Getai Celebration

Once again, it's the time of the year where the Hungry Ghost Festival is upon us. This year, the organizers have spent much effort to put together the celebration and auction on this very special day. So, what are you waiting for?? Come down and join us this Saturday!!

Note from organizer:

• Volunteers to reach at 9.50am sharp for a briefing
• Event approximate timing: 11am – 1pm
• Help will be needed for the preparation after the briefing (re-arranging of tables if required) and serving of food for the beneficiaries at 11am
• Volunteers will be assigned to all the tables during the Auction session (to maintain orderliness and assist the beneficiaries with the auction) 
• If you can, bring along your friends or family along this coming Saturday, 2nd August 2014, to volunteer together!

We have also lined up a special session 2 at SWAMI Home to serve tea break to the residents at the home. Join us if you can make it =)

Dear all,

Here's a big thank you to all of you who have turned up in for the event last Saturday.
Without you the event would not have been carried out so successfully.

If you would need certification for your participation in this event be it for your school or any organisation, please get back to me by the end of the week so that I can arrange for it to be done.

Hari Raya Goodie Bag Event @ Henderson CC on 19/7/14‏

Event Details:

Background:
Heartwarmers have been distributing goodie bags for a group of philanthropists to the needy families in Singapore biannually, during Chinese New Year and Hari Raya. This year we are distributing up to 2400 sets of goodie bags to the beneficiaries around Singapore. These beneficiaries comes from the various Volunteer Welfare Organisations in Singapore.

Objective:
To benefit segments of the community who are (1) most in need and (2) not receiving enough assistance
Low-income/needy
Lower middle income
What you will be helping out with:
All the volunteers will be divided into 2 groups for the event.
- To assist with the loading of goodie bags weighing about 10 kg each up to the vehicles of the VWOs that we will be distributing to.
- You may also be asked to help out with road marshaling duty if required.

Hari Raya Goodie Bag Distribution Event

Once again we will be holding the Goodie Bag distribution event. For this event, we will need up to 60 volunteers to assist with the loading of the Goodie Bag, the current signup rate is only about 12.
