For this coming Saturday, we will be having our regular breakfast volunteer service. However, there will be no second session as there is a sponsored lunch at 9.30am. Instead, we will be packing our store and better organize the items inside.

Appreciation for your help with Silver Lining Carnival on 26 Oct 2013‏

Thank you very much for your help at the Silver Lining Carnival yesterday. We are very blessed to have you people in our Heartwamers family. Everyone did a remarkable job and I believe the beneficiaries were grateful and had fun too!

I would like to express my gratitude to Shermin, Wen Qing, Joanne and the organising committee for putting in so much time, effort and dedication to make this event happen! They are the ones behind the great success of the entire event. Thank you!

I would also like to extend my appreciation to Wai Mun and her game stall team for organising the wonderful game for the beneficiaries. I am sure that the beneficiaries loved our game a lot as we have the most number of participation at our stall. Great job, well done!

Once again, special thanks to all the volunteers who have turned up to bring the beneficiaries to the event. I hope that all of you had fun too!

Heartwarmers - Silver Lining Carnival on 26 October 2013

As this Saturday is the last week of the month, breakfast service will be served by Mustard Seed so there will be no breakfast service. There will also be no second session for this week as we will be participating in Silver Lining Carnival held at Singapore Expo in the afternoon. Please get back to me if you are interested in joining us for the event so that we can make the necessary arrangements.

Silver Lining Carnival
Date: 26 October 2013
Time: 11.30am @ CMH
Venue: Singapore Expo Hall 9

11.30am - Pre-event Briefing and loading up into the bus
12.30pm - Depart CMH
1.00pm - Arrives at Expo Hall 9
3pm - Depart Expo
3.30pm - Debrief at CMH
4pm - Home Sweet Home

Please arrive punctually for the briefing so that we can depart on time. We will be back to CMH by 3.30pm for debrief before we all head home at 4pm.

We will be bringing 20 wheelchair beneficiaries for this event at Singapore Expo. As per previous years, we will be setting up a game stall as well. This time round, Wai Mun will be overall in charge of the game stall.

Volunteering Activities on 19/10/2013

Apologise for the late post. We are currently still lack of volunteers for next weekend Silver Lining Carnival. Please get back to me if you can make it for the event soon for those who have yet to respond.

As per previous years, we will be setting up a game stall as well. This time round, Waimun will be overall in charge of the game stall.

Alright, for this coming weekend, we will have our usual breakfast service, followed by games session with the beneficiaries. If time and weather permits, we will bring some of the residents out for lunch at the nearby market.

Congratulations!

Congratulations and well done to Tan Bao Kuang for his photo taken, Wen Qing for his effort and time dedicated to the beneficiaries and Jane for the well-written synopsis! I would also like to thank those who had helped us LIKE the photo on Facebook which allowed us to emerge as the winner for the Popular Choice Award in this year's Silver Lining Carnival Photography Competition with a total of 407 likes! Thank you!

We will be lining up exciting activities for this retreat and also discussing the way forward for year 2014. If you are interested to help out or have interesting ideas to contribute to the retreat, please do let us know.
