Volunteer Service on 2/7/2011

Hi folks!

For this week service, we will be having our usual breakfast session and follow by our monthly birthday celebration with the residents! Some light tea snacks will be served for the rest of the residents. After that we will be bringing the residents to the neighborhood for a lunch at the coffee shop.

Session 1: Breakfast
Food: Fried Kway Teow with Fish Cake, Eggs and Chai Por
Time: 7am @ the home

Session 2:
1) Birthday Celebration + Teabreak
Food: Donuts
Time: 9am @ the home
2) Lunch
Time 11am @ Marketplace

Volunteer Service on 25/6/2011

Hi all,

For this week service, we will be having our second session only as the breakfast session will be carry out by Mustard Seed. Please be at home by 9:00am where we will prepare for this week activities.

1) Teabreak
Food: Carrot Cake
Time: 9am @ the home
2) Lunch
Time: 11am @ the marketplace

Also we will be having our CMH Welfare BBQ later in the evening time. This is the time where we can have time to catch up with everyone and relax after all the hard work.

Volunteer Outing

We will be having our FIRST HEARTWARMERS volunteer outing after our service at CMH on 25 June 2011 at Pasir Ris Park for a relaxing BBQ and some fun activities. I sincerely urge all Heartwarmers volunteers to mark this important date on your calendar especially for those students volunteer.

The main objective of this outing is to thanks all of your hard work, efforts, time and contributions to Heartwarmers and also the residents. Hence this outing will be the time for all of us to interact with each other and relax after all these years of volunteering under Heartwarmers!

Venue: Pasir Ris Park 2

BBQ Pit: 31

Timing: 1530hrs

Please do wear something comfortable on that day; appropriate attire would be CMH t-shirt and shorts.

Dumpling Festival Outing on 11 June 2011

Main Objective:
To celebrate the Dumpling Festival (端午节）with the residents of CMH.

Event Highlights:
We will be bringing some residents to the Singapore Botanical Gardens.

1000 Gather at CMH

1. Briefing (Day event as well as assignment of beneficiaries to volunteers)

1030 Arrival of bus and the ferrying of beneficiaries

1130 Singapore Botanical Gardens

1. Set up picnic mats
2. Prepare for lunch

1230 Singapore Botanical Gardens

1. Take a walk around the park with the beneficiaries

1330 Singapore Botanical Gardens

1. Gather together and rest
2. Games
3. Final walk around the park

1500 Home sweet home (Back to CMH)

Location:
Christalite Methodist Home → Singapore Botanical Gardens → Christalite Methodist Home

Additonal Details:
Light snacks and rice dumplings (粽子) will be provided for all.

There will also be a sing along session slotted into the programme, if possible.

For this week service, we will be having our normal morning breakfast service and follow by monthly birthday celebration with the residents! We will have a sing along or karaoke session right after the birthday session. After that we will bring some residents out to the neighborhood for a lunch at the marketplace.

Food: Nasi Lemak with Luncheon meat and Otah

Time: 7am @ the home

1) Birthday Celebration + Singing

Time: 9am @ the home

2) Lunch

Time: 11am @ Marketplace
